When relocating to a new area, you may have a lot on your mind: New job, new school, new church, new routines, and last but not least, finding a new place for your family to call "home". At Hanley Agency, Inc., I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by going through a very specific checklist to help you efficiently narrow your options.
When relocating, you often don't have the luxury of looking at every conceivable area listing. At best, you might have the time to see 20 to 25, so whittle down the list first thing with this advice:
- Send me two lists a few days before arriving: One should be of things you must have. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house can't fulfill your basic needs, we can eliminate it from the list.
- Know your budget. If you are going to get a home loan, know your pre-approved amount prior to seeing listings so we can eliminate homes out of your budget.
- How long of a commute are you ready to make each day to your job and other activities? Traffic in the Pittsburgh area could be different than your current location, so tell me your limits regarding drive-time, and I'll find homes within that radius.
I can send you my best recommendations before we meet in person. Or you may already have some top candidates based on your own research. While seeing listing photos on the web is helpful, there's nothing like touring homes in person. Let me set up any necessary appointments and map a route. If we work efficiently, we could see 8 or 10 homes in a single day.
