Relocating to the Pennsylvania or Pittsburgh area
When relocating to a new city, you may have an overwhelming amount of things on your mind: a different job, different schools, a different church, different daily routines, and of course, finding a new place for your family to call "home". At Hanley Agency, Inc., I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by going through a very specific checklist to help you efficiently narrow your options.
When relocating, you probably won't have the luxury of looking at every conceivable area listing. At best, you might get tour 20 to 25, so narrow down the list first thing with these tips:
- Before leaving town, put your needs into one list. Then write the things you simply want in another. When a property comes up short on your must-haves, it's one less house to look at.
- Know your budget. If you are getting a mortgage, have your pre-approved amount beforehand so we can eliminate homes beyond your price range.
- What length of a commute are you willing to make each day to work and other activities? Traffic in the Pittsburgh area could be different than what you're currently experiencing, so let me know your desired drive-time, and I'll locate homes within that radius.
I can send you my top recommendations prior to your arrival. Or if you've got a list of properties in mind, let me know what you've found. While virtual tours and photos are invaluable, there's nothing like touring homes in person. I can arrange any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route. If we work efficiently, we could see 8 to 10 homes in a single day.
